The song "Apples and oranges" is the third single by Pink Floyd, and also the very last one written by the wonderful Syd Barrett. The song didn't came out as big as some of the other songs by Pink Floyd. Roger said: 'Apples and Oranges' was destroyed by the production. It's a fucking good song', and he blamed the disaster on their producer Norman Smith.
This is the single. "Apples and oranges" on side A, and "Paint box" on side B
Syd himself said this about the song: "It's a happy song, and it's got a touch of Christmas. It's about a girl who I saw just walking round town, in Richmond."
This video always make me laugh!! :) Love it!
An absolutely fantastic song! It's a feel-happy song :)
Have a lovely evening, and feel free to sing-a-long with the song!
Got a flip-top pack of cigarettes in her pocket
Feeling good at the top
Shopping in sharp shoes
Walking in the sunshine town feeling very cool
But the butchers and the bakers in the supermarket stores
Getting everything she wants from the supermarket stores
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Cornering neatly she trips up sweetly
To meet the people
She's on time again
And then
I catch her by the eye then I stop and have to think
What a funny thing to do 'cause I'm feeling very pink
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
I love she
She loves me
See you
apples and oranges
Thought you might like to know
I'm her lorry driver man
She's on the run
Down by the river side
feeding ducks in the afternoon tide
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Feeling good at the top
Shopping in sharp shoes
Walking in the sunshine town feeling very cool
But the butchers and the bakers in the supermarket stores
Getting everything she wants from the supermarket stores
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Cornering neatly she trips up sweetly
To meet the people
She's on time again
And then
I catch her by the eye then I stop and have to think
What a funny thing to do 'cause I'm feeling very pink

Apples and oranges

She loves me
See you
apples and oranges

Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
Apples and oranges
