Today it's only 3 weeks until my next show with him. This time in London. It's been almost a year since I saw him in London the last time, and this year I will see him again in the beautiful Royal Albert Hall. I am so exited I don't know what to do.
Me and my dad in Poland this summer
Me outside Poland gig
Me at my first visit to Pompeii, and at the first of two great shows there
The amazing people who joined me to Pompeii gigs
Outside Arena di Verona where he played two gigs
This year - as last year - I will see him two days in a row. And that might be my last David Gilmour live shows. No idea if this is the end of him touring, but I certainly hope not. He is so good live, and it maskes me so happy listening to his beautiful voice and guitar play. I may not have the best seats, but as long as I can hear the music, and maybe get up and dance from time to time - I'll be happy.
Me and my sister at RAH last year
With the David Gilmour show, I also know there is a pre-meet up before the gig, which means I can meet up with other crazy PF fans! I am going to London with my dad so we will have a great time! And just to bring them to the meet up, and meet so many others! It's gonna be a blast. Talk about Pink Floyd for two days. Just what I need. I really do love listening to other people telling me about their experiences with Pink Floyd. What shows they've been to etc. Really can't wait!
The countdown is definatly on!
One picture from last years meet up in London.
And here comes the crazy part. I will go to London in 3 weeks. I will be in London until sunday. Then I fly back to Stavanger and I will work for 3 days. Thursday - the same week - I'm flying to LA!!! I still can't believe it. And on that coming sunday, I am going to Coachella to see The Who and ROGER WATERS!!!
What is going on!? I will see David Gilmour live, and only 9 days later, I'm gonna see Roger Waters live.
My WYWH tattoo is ready for Desert trips
After Roger performed The Wall in Paris, three years ago, I thought that it might be it. But he is performing again. And I couldn't be more happy. I feel so lucky to see two of my all time heroes in that short period of time.
They are of course very different live. And after the 16 The Wall shows I saw, I have no idea how this concert is going to be. What it seems like is that he will only play Pink Floyd songs - which for me is perfect! Maybe I even get to hear a song or two I've never heard him play live before.
At a Pink Floyd museum! Hammer time
I am going to USA with my mom, dad and sister, and I think we'll have an amazing trip. We will experience LA before heading into the deserts, and after the show we will spend just under two weeks travelling around and see so many exiting citys and places.
I will hopefully update blog between these two trips, but can't make any promises. All I know is that there are so many new members who follow my group! So I want to get better at posting blogs. And all the readers that have been following me from the start.
It's been an amazing journey, and I can't wait to keep up with the blogging.
After all - we all have the most amazing musicians in common.
Shine on all you crazy diamonds!
