The Wall concert in Gothenburg

So, my The Wall concert number 4 happend in Gothenburg, Sweeden. My parent, Adelheid, Sam & I drove from Oslo to Gothenburg the day after the second show in Oslo. It was only a few hour drive. My mother had been talking with some relatives we have in Gothenburg, so they had planned that we could stay in their home. So we found their house and got to meet them, which was really nice.
I were really tired after the previous days, and this was our first night that week that I could get to bed early. I slept like I've never slept before, and no-one woke me up the day after, so I felt ready for a new day when I first woke up!

Me, Adelheid & Sam went to Liseberg, a theme park in Gothenburg. Since it was saturday, the park was full of people! We had to wait in line for almost half an our for the first roller coaster, and after that, we went to get something to eat and drink. We walked around in the park for a while, then got in que for the next roller coaster. I think we waited for around 45 minutes! But it was really fun! And during the roller coaster, they had this camera taking our picture. We had already desided that we would look mad/angry at the picture, and the result was awesome!!

Psyco people!

After this ride, we started walking to Roger and the gangs hotel. We had planned to meet up with David Kilminster close to the hotel. We were a bit late. The que lasted too long, and it was quite far walking to the hotel. But we met him for a short moment. Robbie Wycoff walked passed us, so we got to stop him to say hi and got some photos with him.

I was hoping to meet Roger Waters again, but he'd already left the hotel. After David had to go, we went over to the hotel enterance, and I did get to meet loads of the guys in the band! I met Pat Lennon & MArky Lennon, and then I saw Graham Broad and Jon Carin heading for a car. I've never met one of those guys before, but I've always wanted to! So I went over and said my name and that I was a big fan. They were both really nice and were giving me big smiles! Great feeling! So I asked them if I could get a photo with me and them. And before I knew it, I had gathered 6 of the members in the band to join in the photo. They are all so incredible nice!

It started of with Pat, Graham, Jon, Marky and me

Then Robbie came over as well

And then Harry joined in

After the guys left, we tried to find a place to get something to eat and drink before the show. We found a great place and sat there until we started walink towards the stadium, Ullevi. There we met up with the family we were staying with and another relative with his wife.  I went to buy a new The Wall t-skirt and then I bought a glass of wine whilst waiting for the show to begin.

The view from the stadium

We had great view of the stage. It was also my very first outdoor concert, so I was glad the rain never showed up! The show started, and I got tears in my eyes.. As always! The sweedish crowd were a bit better then the norwegian crowd, but still a bit boring audience. I'm not quite sure what I am looking for in a audience, but some with more exitement!
It was really funne when the pig vame flying over the wall. Since it was a bit windy, they didn't have full control over the flying pig, so it was moving all around. It ws great to see!
All in all, it was once again a great show! And it felt extra special this day, since I knew I've now met the entire band! It took me 12 concerts to meet them all, so it was a special feeling. One of the best feelings actually!

So, I really had a great week! 3 countries, 4 shows and loads of new and great memories!

The Wall concert in Oslo (day 2)

After a good night sleep (where Nikolai crashed in our room - with me, Sam & Linn) we woke up and went down for brekfast with my parents. The weather were good this day too! I went to the store and then back to the hotel to change. We found a pub right across the street from the hotel, and sat down for a glass of wine. Then I got a text from David Kilminster that he would love to meet us all for coffee, close by his hotel. I got super exited as always, so I drank up and me and Linn started walking to the fancy hotel David were staying at. My dad, Sam and Nikolai came right behind us, and my mum and Adelheid came a bit after. Adelheid had ordered brekfast at the pub, so I felt bad when I just left while she was still eating! Luckily she know how I am, and that I can't sit still when I know there is somthing going on.

Me and Linn found the hotel, and it was really really fancy! I had to go to the bathroom, and I've never seen a more fancy bathroom! I was amazed, and did not feel welcomed at the hotel. People who went in and out from the hotel were dressed in fancy clothes and looked important. We went outside for a while, and just before my parents and the rest of our fantastic gang showed up, I saw G.E Smith come walking towards the hotel! I've never met him before. I said hi when he passed us and told him that I love his guitar solo on "Mother". He didn't seem like he wanted to be stopped or recognised, so I didn't ask for autograph or photo.

My mum, Adelheid, David, Linn, Sam, Nikolai and me and my dad in the front!
What a bouquet!

When we were all there outside the hotel, David came out. It was so nice to see him again! He gave me a big hug and then he had to meet Linn & Nikolai (since he's never met them before). We went to a cafe close by the hotel, and we got to be in David's company for an hour! We drank some coffe and some wine and he told us some great stories. Such a nice guy! He left us a few minutes before the band were going out to the stadium, so me, Sam & Linn walked back to the hotel. There we met G.E Smith again, and this time, I asked for a photo and lucky for me he said yes! Linn took the photos and at the same time, Sam were filming with our camera. So he got some filming from some of the band mebers while they were walking towards their car. After the photos with mr.Smith, I saw Robbie again and I got to give him a hug.

And then.. Out of the blue, Sam turned to me and said that Roger Waters walked out of the hotel! I did not think, I just grabbed my The Wall cd from my purse, and ran over to him. There were several people around him, but I did not think, so I just went all over to him and handed him my cd to sign! The guard who stood beside Waters said 'good job', instead of making me wait in line. While Roger signed my cd, I told him that I love him. He said thank you! I had a small conversation with my all time hero!!! When I got my cd back, I had problems breathing, I was screaming inside and I cried a little. It was a dream that finally came true!
Roger Waters signing MY cd!!
Look at his guard - smiling! :)

My hero, signing my cd

AMAZING

We also saw Snowy White in a car, and we told him good luck with the show, and he said thank you and gave us a big smile! Then the cars started driving, and we got the wave at them all, and they waved back. It was such an amazing moment, and it was, unfortunaly, over in a blink of an eye. And I didn't even know what just hit me.
After the cars had left, we went to get something to eat, but I could barely eat anything. I was too exited, so I just sat in my chair, smiling, as a new proud owner of a signed The Wall cd!

Super exited!!!

In shock!!

There were shuffle busses this day too, so we bought tickets, and of we were, one more time. This day we got seats up on one of the sides, but we still had a great view! The only bad thing about both concerts in Oslo, is that the audience is boring. They are barely clapping, no screaming and I didn't hear anyone but us singing along. So during "Run like hell", Roger Waters made the audience stand up during the entire song (both days)! I remember my first The Wall concert - Roger said from the stage that we should stand up and enjoy ourselves. He didn't do it in the rest of the shows, so I was really glad when I got to stand up and dance to the song again, without people asking me to sit down! So I had a great time at both of the Oslo shows, and the best part is to experience what I really love with my parents, sister, boyfriend, 'little brother' and one of my best friend! That's just making it even more magical!

The best day in my life with loads of my favourite people <3
love you all!

The Wall concert in Oslo (day 1)

After some great days in Copenhagen with Adelheid, Sam & Nikolai, we took the boat from Copenhagen to Oslo. I was exited about spending an evening and night on a boat, but unfortunaly, I was the only one. It turned out to be just me who did not get sea sick! So Adleheid got really sick and went to bed quite early, so then me, Sam & Nikko went to the casino! It was so much fun! I used way too much money on the slots, and when I was about to leave the casino, I tried the roulett. Turned out that I rocked! So I won my money back. YAY.

Dark picture, but it's me and the money I won on the roulett

Took this picture from the boat early in the morning

We arrived in Oslo early wedensday morning, and Linn met us down at the dock. She was really exited for her very first show, so even though it was quite early and none uf us did get so much sleep, we were all full of energy! We found the hotel to leave our luggage, and then we went out for lunch. We were walking a bit around, and then my parents showed up. They had been driving to Oslo, so they arrived a few hours after us. We also got to meet my cousin and her husband. They were going to the show as well.

Around 15.00 we checked in at the hotel, got dressed and went out. Me, Sam, Linn & Nikko went to a peppes pizza restaurant to meet up with some other fans. Ole from Norway, Stewart from Scotland and Andrew from Germany. We had something to eat and some glasses of wine before we went to meet up with more fans whom just arrived from the UK. I actually did get to meet Simon Wimpenny! I've read his blog and he is also friends with David Kilminster. So I'd heard so much about him, so it was great to meet up!

We bought tickets for the shuffle bus to the stadium, and soon we were on our way. When we arrived at the stadium, me and Linn had to run to the toilets. The bus ride took a longer time then we thought. We talked to Sam & Nikko about where to meet, and when they were on their way, I saw Robbie Wycoff, Pat Lennon & Marky Lennon walking out from the stadium. I took Linn's arm and dragged her with me. We did get to talk with them for quite a while! Both Robbie and Pat recognised me from earlier shows. I finally got to tell Robbie how amazing he and Roger Waters sings together on the last bit of "Hey you". Been meaning to tell him for a long time, but I always get starstrucked. I was glad when I saw that Sam and Nikko were on their way over, so that they could meet the guys as well.

AWESOMENESS

We went into the stadium and found our seats, which were absolutely great! We sat on the floor really close to the stage, and quite in the midle as well, so we had the perfect view. The show started, and I started crying, as usual. It's such a powerful moment when they start of with "In the flesh?" and when Roger is walking onto the stage. The first half of the show were great as always! During the intermission, we called Nikolai to ask what he'd think of the show, and we asked him to come down to our seats and just squeeze in for the second half of the show. He bought tickets after us, so unfortunaly we had separated seats, so I'm glad he got to join us for the second half. Too bad for him, he had to sit next to me, and I'm not exactly the quiet girl during these shows! But I think it went well!
At the end of the show, during "Outside the wall", me and Linn went all the way to the stage and we saw Pat and Marky Lennon wave at us, as they told us they would do when we met them before the show :)
The Wall seen from our seats!

It's always sad when a show is getting closer to the end, but I didn't mind, cause I knew we'd get to see it all over again the day after!
It's great to be a Pink Floyd & Roger Waters girl!!

10 days

The time has been running by the last year. It's been slow at some times, but the summer, it's been going way too fast. So that leaves me knowing that it's only 10 days to I get to see The Wall with Roger Waters, live, again! I actually don't have tickets yet, but hipefully I can get some.

My wonderful tattoo's can't wait to show off!

My personal The Wall tour will start, as I said, in 10 days. First stop will be Copenhagen (Denmark).

I've got wild staring eyes

When I arrive in Copenhagen, I need to find the first available taxi, go to the hotel for the check in, and then find a new taxi that'll get me to Parken stadion, where the show will go on. So then it's just to try and get tickets, and then: HELLO ROGER WATERS! I literally can't wait!
I went to a Muse concert i Bergen a couple of weeks ago, so then I had a few weeks before that I were only listening to Muse, and the week after the concert as well. But now I am back in my standard Pink Floyd mode. I've really missed it!

Run like hell

After the concert in Denmark on sunday, I'll have a few days to experience copenhagen, and that should be great! Tuesday afternoon, I'll take a ferry/crusie/boat from Copenhagen to Oslo. And there I'll be meeting my mother, father, sister and a friend of mine. Then we have to check in at a hotel there and then I reckon it's straight out to hit the pub. Hopefully we'll get some good weather so that we can walk around in the sun and  pretend to be tourists. It's so much fun being tourist in your own country!

Taken before the very first The Wall show I saw in Oslo, 2011

I will of course update my blog about each concert I've been to, but it might take some time. When I'm leaving for Denmark, I'll be on the road for a week, and then I'm going back to uni, but I'll find the time to write about the shows, the changes from the last time I saw it, and of course put out many pictures!
I am so exited!!!
